About The Role

Australian Weighing Equipment is currently looking for an experienced and passionate Business Development Manager to join our dynamic sales team based at Tullamarine VIC.

As an Industry leader of weighing systems, bulk material handling equipment and packaging machinery, we are in pursuit of a results driven BDM to utilise your industry experience to:

  • Build and develop strategic relationships with new potential customers in order to reach specific KPI’s.
  • Develop a strong client base for future business opportunities in order to   reach specific KPI’s.
  • Adopt competitor analysis to ensure strong understanding of the market as well as identification of market opportunities & gaps
  • Report to a National Business Development Manager and receive instruction.
  • To establish customer needs to assess and analyse Customer needs by attending customer premises.
  • The ensure that Company image is maintained to professional standard at all times and outlined below:
  • Demonstrate competently an understanding of all products and services and effectively communicate and promote all these services and products to capture maximum market opportunities.
  • To maintain the Company Code of Conduct by promoting a positive culture by demonstrating qualities such as integrity, honesty, professionalism at all times.
  • To promote the above synergy between service departments including personnel, engineering, technical departments and administration.
  • To identify and ensure that Company expenses are kept within a reasonable and justifiable parameters.
  • To ensure that the safety and well being of all stakeholders is paramount and requirements are adhered to both internally and externally)
  • To ensure that all individual sales kits and company sales aides when utilised are kept complete and maintained.

To be considered for this opportunity the ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

  • Come from a sales background with either a Weighing Industry or have an Engineering background and be hungry to develop relationships and increase new business
  • Have technical knowledge to propose suitable solutions
  • Have permanent working rights in Australia
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Computer literacy skills
  • Have a valid driver’s licence
  • Have a strong understanding of KPI’s and confidence in reaching targets set.
  • Be a team player and ability to self-manage

  • Calibration / Instrumentation knowledge
  • Hubspot knowledge
  • Pronto knowledge

Ideally you possess mechanical knowledge and experience and are a mature and enthusiastic individual with the ability to work in a Team environment. 

You will be expected to attend site and perform service calls for Installations, repairs and maintenance and calibrations for On-Board Weighing Equipment (OBW) such as forklifts, loaders and bobcats. You will required to diagnose / fault find and implement solutions to technical problems associated to weighing equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform duties such as repairing, calibrating, and servicing weighing equipment
  • Ensure that service standards and objectives are being achieved.
  • Usage of equipment and hand power tools
  • General maintenance of work environment
  • Manual handling / laboring
  • Troubleshoot and testing of mechanical and digital scales
  • Document test results and provide complete paperwork
  • Programming of equipment (calibration)
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organised work environment at all times
  • Maintain service vehicles, equipment, tools, and PPE
  • Complete-time records, work orders, and logs each day
  • Create a positive and respectful work environment

Australian Weighing Equipment is currently looking for a full-time Trades Assistant to support our experienced Service Technicians with a view of career progression as a Field Service Technician

We require an enthusiastic individual with the ability to not only self-manage, but also work within a Team environment.  You will be expected to attend site with a Service Technician to assist with service calls for Installations, repairs and maintenance and calibrations. You will work alongside the Service Technician where they will diagnose and implement solutions to technical problems associated to weighing equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that service standards and objectives are being achieved.
  • Usage of equipment and hand power tools
  • General maintenance of work environment
  • Manual handling / laboring
  • Assist with performing duties of repairing, calibrating, and servicing weighing equipment
  • Installation, service and calibration of weighbridges
  • Provide support to Service Technician when troubleshooting and testing of mechanical and digital scales
  • Provide assistance in documenting test results and provide complete paperwork
  • Provide assistance with programming of equipment (calibration)
