About The Role

Australian Weighing Equipment is currently looking for an experienced and passionate Business Development Manager to join our dynamic sales team based at our Tullamarine.

As an Industry leader of weighing systems, bulk material handling equipment and packaging machinery, we are in pursuit of a results driven BDM to utilise your industry experience to:

  • Build and develop strategic relationships with new potential customers in order to reach specific KPI’s.
  • Develop a strong client base for future business opportunities in order to   reach specific KPI’s.
  • Adopt competitor analysis to ensure strong understanding of the market as well as identification of market opportunities & gaps
  • Report to a National Business Development Manager and receive instruction.
  • To establish customer needs to assess and analyse Customer needs by attending customer premises.
  • The ensure that Company image is maintained to professional standard at all times and outlined below:
  • Demonstrate competently an understanding of all products and services and effectively communicate and promote all these services and products to capture maximum market opportunities.
  • To maintain the Company Code of Conduct by promoting a positive culture by demonstrating qualities such as integrity, honesty, professionalism at all times.
  • To promote the above synergy between service departments including personnel, engineering, technical departments and administration.
  • To identify and ensure that Company expenses are kept within a reasonable and justifiable parameters.
  • To ensure that the safety and well being of all stakeholders is paramount and requirements are adhered to both internally and externally)
  • To ensure that all individual sales kits and company sales aides when utilised are kept complete and maintained.

The Candidate

To be considered for this opportunity the ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

  • Come from a sales background with either a Weighing Industry or have an Engineering background and be hungry to develop relationships and increase new business
  • Have technical knowledge to propose suitable solutions
  • Have permanent working rights in Australia
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Computer literacy skills
  • Have a valid driver’s licence
  • Have a strong understanding of KPI’s and confidence in reaching targets set.
  • Be a team player and ability to self manage

Highly Desirable Skills

  • Calibration / Instrumentation knowledge
  • Hubspot knowledge
  • Pronto knowledge

Salary is negotiable and will be dependent upon experience

About The Role

As the National Service Manager, you will supervise an experienced and motivated team of technicians and ensure they have the right tools, resources and training to effectively service our customers. 

This position is full time and the location is at Ingleburn.

  (Salary is negotiable and dependent on experience )

Responsibilities

  • Lead the coordination of our Field Service Technician Team of 14 to provide our customers with exceptional technical and maintenance support
  • Manage the team via a 24/7 on call roster (if and when required)
  • Work within the annual budgets, manage profit & loss and achieve new business, revenue, gross margin targets
  • Work with key stakeholders with product development and training requirements
  • Provide technical support, coaching and mentoring to our Service Team
  • Maintain key customer relationships and develop market contracts, provide input and support to business development activities
  • Manage client issues and seek feedback from client after resolution
  • Promote a safe work culture, manage safety performance of the team, and ensure safe work standards are maintained
  • Provide regular staff usage reports and forecast staff requirements to enable forward planning of resources
  • Co-ordinate quotations and estimates on customers behalf for maintenance contracts, spare parts, installation, repair and customer support as required
  • Identify opportunities to increase level of service support to existing customers and new business leads
  • Attending regular meeting with customers, issuing system performance reports
  • Manage and maintain a positive culture within the team

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Service Manager / Manager role
  • Must have a current drivers licence
  • Must be computer literate
  • Ability to self-manage and work autonomously
  • Strong working knowledge of industrial weighing equipment is an advantage
  • Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A strong understanding of conflict resolution and people management tools
  • Willingness and ability to continuously learn
  • Prompt, pleasant, positive attitude and follows instructions well
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment
  •

About The Role

Reporting to the Directors, as Branch/Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing of to day operations within the branch (Underwood QLD), whilst providing strong leadership skills and promotion of excellence in customer service whilst maximising growth opportunities and ensuring profitable returns.

This position is full time and the location is at Queensland.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure excellent customer service across all areas of the business
  • Manage and grow existing accounts
  • Support National Service Manager & Coordinator and oversee branch Technicians to ensure exceptional service quality
  • People management of sales and operational staff, promoting a high performance culture through setting clear sales processes
  • Assist in the recruitment of key staff members to enhance team capabilities
  • Maintain and enforce standards, procedures and organisation within the branch
  • Monitor open work orders to ensure timely completion
  • Establish customer needs by attending Customers premises and conducting an analysis
  • To identify and ensure that Company expenses are kept within a reasonable and justifiable parameters
  • Building strong business relationships
  • Registering and maintaining new business
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions and competitor activities
  • Develop and nurture a positive team culture aligned with the organization’s People Strategy through training, coaching, development, and motivation
  • Provide monthly progress reports to the Director, offering insights into branch development and growth opportunities
  • Build a strong client base for future business opportunities in order to reach monthly sales target
  • Evaluating employee performance and providing feedback and coaching as needed

Essential Skills Required

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Management/Sales
  • Instrumentation / Weighing Industry Experience
