Our linear weighers can be installed as part of an integrated weighing and packing line or interfaced with existing packing equipment.

Working Principle:

The machine is set to a pre-determined target weight, then the bulk product is loaded into an in feed hopper. Using a vibration mechanism, the product enters the weigh pan, where the system monitors the weight. Once 80% of the target weight has been loaded, the system switches to a dribble feed for the final 20%, thus ensuring optimum accuracy.

When the weigher has "made weight", the product is discharged through specially made outlet chutes designed to suit your specific packaging arrangements.

About Our Linear Weigher:

AWE linear weighers feature fast, precise and accurate. The multi-head linear weigher design allows for easy integration with packaging machines to achieve the perfect package weight. The modular construction makes cleaning easy and keeps maintenance to a minimum. Various options are made available to meet specific requirements. 

AWE linear weighers are designed for ease of operation and can be supplied in single units for semi automatic use (hand-presented bags or containers) or in a multiple format to link with automatic packaging machinery.

Various configurations are available, covering a weigh range from as little as 50g to as much as 3000g., at speeds of up to 15 weighings per minute per weigh head (depending on flow characteristics).

The AWE linear weighers are constructed in stainless steel and the panels are pressed fit to a tight tolerance, allowing a one hundred percent accurate assembly. The durability of the design is to withstand all feeding applications and performances. The welded joints and folds on the hopper and feed chutes prove the constant detail and the attention to a quality finish is excellent.

A load cell is used on each weigh buckets to perform a continuation dump of each independent weigh bucket when it reaches its capacity. This process ensures an increase in speed for small to medium speed packaging applications.

Together with AWE’s extensive experience in design and in-house manufacture, the units can be modified to suit special purpose applications.
